How They Work 

Official Color:

As in most Colombian cities, official taxis in Bucaramanga are yellow.

Metered Fare:

Each taxi should have a functioning taximeter. The fare increases based on distance traveled and time spent (especially in traffic).

Taxi ID and Registration:

All legal taxis display a unique taxi license number on the doors and roof. Inside, there should be a visible driver ID and photo.

Hailing a Taxi:

On the Street: You can wave one down on main avenues or near busy areas.

Taxi Stands: Some malls, hotels, or busy intersections have designated taxi lines.

Phone/Radio Dispatch: If you’re staying at a hotel or any building with a front desk or security staff, they can usually call a taxi for you.
